Turn EPS files into
editable Figma layers

Figma can't open an .eps or a .ps. eps.to.design reads the PostScript itself and rebuilds it as a real design — editable vectors, text, gradients and images, every page of a document.

Nothing to install. Drop an EPS file, then paste the result straight into Figma as editable layers.

How it works

  1. 1 · Upload

Drop an .eps or a .ps file into the plugin, or into the web app. Dropping several at once is fine.

  2. 2 · Convert

Our PostScript engine runs the file and draws it — paths, text, gradients and images — then rebuilds it as a Figma design. No prompt, no settings to tune.

  3. 3 · Edit in Figma

With the plugin, the artwork lands straight on your canvas, ready to edit. From the web app, copy the result and paste it into Figma — either way, fully editable layers.

eps.to.design vs a flat export

Figma can’t open .eps or .ps files, so most teams convert them to a PNG first — and lose the artwork. eps.to.design rebuilds the file as a Figma design, with editable layers instead of a picture. Here’s how they compare.

How eps.to.design compares with a flat export.
What you get back A flat export eps.to.design
Vectors & shapes Rasterized Editable vector paths, fills and strokes
Text Flattened into the image Real, editable Figma text
Fonts Lost Matched, or remapped if missing
Gradients & images Baked into the picture Gradient fills, images as native Figma images
Pages One at a time, by hand Every page of a PostScript document
Output Static image in Figma Editable Figma layers
Try it on your file

What gets converted

  • Vectors, kept vectors

Paths keep their anchor points, fills and strokes — scale and edit them in Figma without losing quality.

  • Text & fonts

Text comes back as editable Figma text. The standard PostScript fonts are drawn with their real glyphs; a font Figma doesn’t have is mapped to its closest match, which you can change after import.

  • Every page

An EPS is cropped to its bounding box, as designed. A multi-page PostScript document comes in page by page, each a frame.

  • Colour, gradients & images

RGB, grey and CMYK colours, smooth shadings, patterns, clipping paths and embedded images all come across.
