Product update about divRIOTS’ IDEs

As of June 1st, 2025, we will officially be shutting down Components.studio, Webcomponents.dev and Backlight.dev.

This decision was not made lightly. Over the years, our online IDEs have helped both developer and design teams to build, collaborate and innovate with web components and design systems. We are very proud of what we have built and grateful for the incredible community that has supported these platforms.

However, due to the growing success of our suite of Figma plugins, we have decided to focus all our efforts on expanding and improving our Figma-based tools. Our mission has always been to create the best possible experiences for designers and developers, and we believe that by fully dedicating our resources to our plugins, we can provide even more value to the design and development community.

What this means for you:

✅ Full access until June 1st, 2025:

You will still be able to fully use Components.studio, Webcomponents.dev and Backlight.dev until the shutdown date.

✅ Data export:

We encourage all users to export their work and migrate any critical projects before the shutdown. We are happy to provide guidance and support if needed.

✅ Support for existing users:

Our team will be available to answer any questions and assist with migrations during this period.

Looking ahead…

While we are saying goodbye to our online IDEs, we are excited about the future of our Figma plugins. We have ambitious plans to introduce new features and even better tools and integrations that will take your design-to-development workflows to the next level.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to every user who has supported Components.studio, Webcomponents.dev and Backlight.dev. Your feedback and projects have all been valuable contributions, and we hope you will continue to be part of our community as we focus on making our Figma plugins even better.
