Announcing Story to Design

Story.to.design is a Figma plugin to generate Figma libraries from Storybook stories.

What is it

Story.to.design is a Figma plugin that generates a Figma library directly from Storybook stories, whether the stories are hosted on Storybook or directly in Backlight.

Using story.to.design is as simple as copying the URL of the story the user wants to generate or sync, and pasting it in the plugin. The user can then select a story and watch it being automatically generated in Figma, no matter the size, or number of variants.

Why we did it

Design teams should not waste time maintaining the UI Kit in sync with code; they should focus on research for outstanding user experiences.
